Docia Receives Peacekeeper Award:

CEASE, Concerned Educators Allied for Safe Environments, honored Docia as well as two others this year with their 2008 Peacekeeper award.  The award read as follows: 

You are a tireless activist and mentor who believes in the power of community.  Through your insightful observations and storytelling you reveal the commonality of people throughout the world and bring them together.  Never losing sight of the children and their teachers you have carried the message that Play Matters! around the world and back to your neighborhood.  Your commitment to the understanding of conflict and differences has fostered growth on the path to peace for children and adults alike.
